With the digital revolution of the past decade, nothing seems to stand in the way of this dream. Prosper de Roos looks back and analyzes: "The digital renaissance of the past 20 years has sold itself as a revolt against the established order and the money-hungry studios, for the liberating effect of technology. It is the well-known slogan of many protest parties: power to the people! Filmmakers, musicians and other creatives would finally be free and reap the fruits of their work. This revolt initially started with hope, but has finally turned out differently."
