On Sunday, December 22, L1's programming will be entirely dedicated to the work of film directors Ben Verbong. This year, Verbong has been in the profession for 50 years and this is a reason for the Limburg regional broadcaster to put the spotlight on his work for a day. A debate with young Limburg filmmakers is also part of this day. Verbong's first major successful cinema film was The Girl with the Red Hair (1981), about resistance fighter Hannie Schaft. Other well-known Dutch films by Verbong are De Schorpioen, De Flat and De Kassière.
