Netflix toont interesse voor serieverfilming Ik, Jan Cremer'
A series may be made of Ik, Jan Cremer, the controversial novel by the Dutch author Jan Cremer, published in the 1960s. The now 79-year-old author says in a conversation with Playboy that Netflix wants to make a twelve-part series of the novel with which Cremer made his breakthrough. There are no further details yet. "You know how it goes. First there is a lot of contact, then you don't hear anything for a while and then suddenly you hear something again. We'll see." It is not the first time that a big name has shown interest in adapting Cremer's hit novel into a film. "Oliver Stone, still a friend of mine, wanted to make it his graduation film. That was back in 1967. I also worked with Francis Ford Coppola. But he was rejected because he had submitted a script that did not work at all. .A year later he made The Godfather."
