The shooting of the new drama series Commandos started on Monday in the Johannesburg area of South Africa. The series is a collaboration between AVROTROS and NL Film and should appear on television in 2020. The leading roles in the series are played by Werner Kolf (photo), Egbert-Jan Weeber, Teun Kuilboer, Kay Greidanus, Chiem Vreeken and Bilal Wahib. The story revolves around former commando John de Koning (played by Werner Kolf) who has been traumatized by a failed mission in Nigeria.
