Haarlem Film City is the first book about Haarlem cinema life and the activities of all those well-known and lesser-known studios, filmmakers, stars and the film houses and sets in the city on the Spaarne. Before the war, Haarlem could unofficially call itself the film city of the Netherlands for many years. In the 1910s and 1920s, the Haarlem Film Factory Hollandia produced about sixty feature films. And Annie Bos was the first Dutch film star. After the war, the case was finally decided in favor of Amsterdam.
