In the summer, the Filmkrant publishes a weekly interview with freshly graduated film talent from various academies. This week, Brazilian-born Bernardo Zanotta (Gerrit Rietveld Academy) talks about his cannibal film Vorarephilia. "The cannibal is a position often used by Brazilian artists. Because so many cultures lay claim to Brazil, the artist has to devour it like a cannibal to make something new out of it. That's how I work too. I devour the film - and art history and make something new out of it."
