Beatrice Welles, the daughter of actor and director Orson Welles (1915-1985), has intervened in the row between Netflix and the Cannes festival. Netflix withdrew the two potential candidates for Cannes earlier this week because the streaming service does not agree that films made for television should not participate in the competition for the Palme d'Or. One of the two projects submitted is The Other Side of the Wind, Welles' unfinished last film.
