The superhero film Black Panther continues to make history two months after its release in the United States. Marvel's action film surpassed James Cameron's blockbuster Titanic in terms of revenue. Black Panther thus ranks as the third highest-grossing film ever in the US, behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($936.7 million) and Avatar ($760.5 million). Black Panther has already grossed 1.29 billion worldwide. This means that director Ryan Coogler's superhero film is now the tenth most successful film ever.
