Marco Kroon, bearer of the Military Order of William, is working on a film about his time as a soldier in Afghanistan. He has asked Defense for permission and cooperation in the project, according to a Defense spokesperson. The basis of the film would be Kroon's book Danger Close. In it he describes his heroic deeds for which he received the William Order in 2009. Director Roel Reiné, known for the film Michiel de Ruyter, confirms that he is involved in the project.
