American actress Dorothy Malone has died at the age of 92. She won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 1957 for Written on the Wind. Malone made her film debut in 1943. Winning an Oscar in Written On The Wind gave her increasing popularity and roles in more famous films, such as Man of a Thousand Faces (1957), The Tarnished Angels (1958), Warlock (1959), The Last Voyage (1960) and Beach Party (1963). Malone's last role on the big screen was in Basis Instinct (1992) by Paul Verhoeven.
