The documentary Stranger in Paradise by director Guido Hendrikx has been nominated for best European documentary of 2017. The European Film Academy (EFA) announced this. The documentary is about the refugee problem in Europe. In the film, Europe is embodied by an actor who talks to groups of asylum seekers in a classroom in Sicily. The actor alternately represents public opinion in Europe about refugees and a European councilor.
